Testimonials: "Unlike many ballet schools in the Carmel Valley area, DMB is a serious studio without all the unnecessary fluff. What I admire about DMB is that art and learning come first...."

Read all DMB's 18+ 5-STAR Reviews on Yelp and Facebook!

  • "This pre-professional ballet studio is rooted in exceptional instruction!!!  They encourage and inspire dancers to strive for excellence with passion and creativity.  The focus is performance based rather than competition.  This is what we were looking for!  The young dancers learn proper technique while having fun with fantastic role models found in teachers and the older dancers.  Our daughter loves working with the little ones and she continues to blossom at Del Mar Ballet.  We are very grateful for this lovely space that our daughter is able to flourish.  We are investing in so much more than dance!!!" K.H.

  • "This is a wonderful studio with a challenging and welcoming community for adults. I've taken classes with Marie, Robyn, and Jenny and they are all superb, encouraging and passionate teachers. As Artistic Director, Marie is constantly keeping us refreshed with new teachers for the Masters Classes to continue our discovery of the capabilities of our bodies.  I've been with the studio since 2011 and it has grown every year to keep me engaged and fascinated with dance. I feel so lucky to be part of this community of lovely teachers, inspirational professionals we can practice along side and the most warm and inviting peers to spend time with. So much love and appreciation for this gem!" C.P.

  • "Unlike many ballet schools in the Carmel Valley area, DMB is a serious studio without all the unnecessary fluff.   What I admire about DMB is that art and learning come first.  Dancers shine plenty without the need for outrageously priced costumes and makeup.  Glitz and glamour do not become the focal point of their shows.  Instead, Marie, Jenny and Amanda emphasize personal development tailored to each individual.  For example, students are encouraged to express their creativity through improvisation exercises, while at the same time, ensuring that proper technique is taught.  Older students have the opportunity to choreograph showcase pieces for performances.  Grace and beauty come from within which is the real lesson here, and DMB does a fine job of it" L.T.

  • “To see so many of DMB's senior students head in the direction of professional dance careers is a true mark of the excellent instructors on staff.” S.D.

  • "Marie Arts and her staff are outstanding. I'm taking adult classes without much experience and later in life. Other students are much more advanced and some are at professional level. Group is so embracing and Marie and all the teachers are stoping to help and demonstrate proper technique. They dedicate attention to all the students regardless of level or ability. I'm looking forward to attend the class after a long day at work. Prices are excellent and I love that I can purchase 10 class block that doesn't expire. There is no need to sign up or pay monthly fee for adult classes. Thank you Marie, Jenny and Robin for your dedication, professionalism and enthusiasm" B.V.
